Peace Tour Secretary General Shao Changchun Leads a Delegation to Cambodia and Laos to Prepare for the Visit to Southeast Asia

From October 28 to 29, 2010, Secretary General of Beijing Peace Tour Cultural Exchange Center Shao Changchun and Peace Tour representatives visited Cambodia and Laos to negotiate on the “Peace Tour – Visit to Southeast Asia” activities with officials in culture of Cambodia and Laos and investigate on local art academies and institutions. Cambodia and Laos indicated that they will provide full support to this event to ensure its success.

Organized by the Global Peace Tour of World-famous Chinese Artists with Their Drawings Organizing Committee and supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Culture of the People's Republic of China, the “Peace Tour - Visit to Southeast Asia” with the theme of “Peace, Friendship and Common Development” will be held in mid-December, 2010. The delegation will take 9 days to visit Laos, Cambodia and Singapore. During the visit, Peace Tour Organizing Committee, jointly with Ministry of Culture and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the three countries, will convene various art exchange activities and communication activities of all circles and take the artists of the delegation to Angkor Wat in Cambodia, Thousand-Island Lake in Laos and other world-famous places of interest for touring and sketching. The delegation will also donate cultural and sports materials to cultural institutions and the ICRC in Laos and Cambodia, hoping to enrich art practice and experience of Chinese Artists through these series of activities, so as to promote art exchange and cooperation between China and foreign countries and deepen the friendship between China and Southeast Asian countries.
