About Us

Established in 2003, Peace Tour is the abbreviation for Global Peace Tour of World-famous Chinese Artists with Their Drawings Organizing Committee and Beijing Peace Tour Cultural Exchange Center. Peace Tour is a non-governmental organization specializing in international cultural exchange activities. Since its establishment, the Peace Tour has adhered to the lofty purpose of “protecting the common cultural heritage of mankind and promoting the peaceful development of the international community” to conduct friendly exchanges and philanthropic activities with dignitaries, entrepreneurs and artists around the world through international fine art and art exchange. Peace Tour has become one of the major forces in international cultural exchange nowadays.

Peace Tour Artist Delegation has visited 47 countries, donated more than 30 batches of materials, held 17 large-scale cultural exchange activities, and signed cooperation agreements with private foundations of 17 foreign leaders as well as research centers. More than 70 Chinese artists have been conferred the honorary titles including “Academician of Academy of Arts and Sciences”, “Meritorious Artist”, “Distinguished Professor” and “Peace Ambassador” by eminent foreign universities and art colleges.

In recent years, in order to support our National Leaders’ attending the SCO Summits and promote people-to-people cooperation within the SCO framework, Peace Tour has conducted large-scale themed art exhibition participated by artists from SCO member states and other countries during four consecutive SCO Summits, which has was highly appreciated by governments of SCO member states. Series events of International Exhibition of Works by Artists for Peace with the theme of international peace has become an important brand of Beijing Peace Tour Cultural Exchange Center.

Approved by the State Council in 2012, the Award Ceremony of “Silk Road People-to-People Cooperation Award”, founded by Peace Tour, was held during the SCO Beijing Summit. State Councilor Dai Bingguo and Tajikistan President Rakhmon chaired the ceremony and presented the medals and certificates to six outstanding scholars from SCO member states. This award further promoted people-to-people  exchanges and cooperation within the framework of the SCO, enhanced mutual understanding and traditional friendship between Chinese people and people of other member states and consolidated the public opinion and social foundation for the development of the SCO.

Taking promoting Chinese culture, boosting international art exchanges and enriching people-to-people cooperation between China and other countries as its own responsibility, Peace Tour has been progressing proactively and diligently, embarking on a successful path of conducting non-governmental exchanges with other countries. We believe that as a bridge of the spiritual communication between people from different countries, people-to-people exchange will lay a solid foundation for the long-term development of China's friendly cooperation with other countries. Peace Tour will continue to pioneer and innovate, making greater and more active contributions to promoting the friendly cooperation between China and other countries.
