Founded in 2003 in Shanghai, China, International Union of Artists for Peace is headquartered in Antwerp, the second largest city in the Kingdom of Belgium and the second largest port in Europe, whose offices are cited in Beijing, China and Atlanta, America. Since its establishment, International Union of Artists for Peace has been adhering to the principal of “protecting the common cultural heritage of mankind and promoting the peaceful development of the international community” to deepen cultural cooperation among countries and promote people-to-people exchanges across the world through international painting and art exchanges.


The Delegation of International Union of Artists for Peace has visited 47 countries in 13 years, conducting large-scale people-to-people exchange events in more than 20 countries and regions including China, Southeast Asia, Central Asia, and Europe and donating batches of materials to government and art institutions of dozens of countries including Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, Syria, Pakistan, South Africa, Sudan, Mongolia, Cambodia and Laos. With a total amount of over 1.7 million Euros the donations include blankets, office stationery, medical equipments, clothes, textbooks, computers, musical instruments, paints and tools, etc. The Union now has around 1,700 member artists from over 60 countries.

The History of International Union of Artists for Peace

At the invitation of the Royal Family of Cambodia and the Laos Government, International Union of Artists for Peace visited Cambodia and Laos, and was cordially received by His Majesty King Sihamoni of Cambodia and Choummaly Xayasone, President of the Laos. For many years, International Union of Artists for Peace has maintained friendly and close ties with the Royal Family of Cambodia and the Laos government.

At the beginning of its establishment, International Union of Artists for Peace twice led its delegation to Russia at the invitation of the Russian government, maintaining friendly relations and close interactions with the Russian government as well as art institutions including the Moscow University, Russian Academy of Arts and Sciences, Repin Academy of Fine Arts, the Tretyakov Gallery and the Hermitage Museum.

International Union of Artists for Peace has maintained friendly ties and close interactions with Central Asian countries such as Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Turkmenistan for years. Its delegation has held many large-scale people-to-people exchange events in abovementioned countries, during which the Union has been cordially received by leaders of many countries and received warm reception and strong support of local governments and art institutions.

In recent years, International Union of Artists for Peace has been active in European countries, maintaining close contact and friendly interaction with governments and art institutions of more than 20 European countries and regions, including France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Spain, Italy, Vatican, Baku, and Romania. Its delegation has conducted large-scale people-to-people exchange events in the abovementioned countries and regions for several times, and has been warmly received and highly recognized by European society and art community.

Since its establishment, International Union of Artists for Peace have made efforts and achievements in the cause of international people-to-people exchanges and peaceful development, which have been highly recognized by national leaders. International Union of Artists for Peace has been committed to international people-to-people exchanges. For over ten years, it has worked diligently to build a bridge of peace and friendship with art. During its development, International Union of Artists for Peace has accumulated  profound cultural and art heritage, and is highly recognized by the international community and artists worldwide.

We believe that as a bridge of spiritual communication between people from different countries, people-to-people exchange will lay a solid foundation for the long-term development of China's friendly cooperation with other countries. International Union of Artists for Peace will continue to pioneer and innovate, making more active contributions to promoting the friendly cooperation in the world.
