Kyrgyzstan Deputy Prime Minister Attends Opening Ceremony of “Diverse Culture, Shared Destiny” Exhibition

Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, is full of flowers and trees in summer. On the 29th, “Diverse Culture, Shared Destiny” - International Painting Exhibition of Artists for Peace from Ancient Civilizations, organized by Beijing Peace Tour Cultural Exchange Center, held its opening ceremony at the Kyrgyzstan National Museum of Fine Arts in Bishkek. Artists from all over the world gathered here to present to local people paintings of peace and friendship.

Kyrgyzstan Deputy Prime Minister Omurbekova attended the opening ceremony. In her speech, she pointed out that this painting exhibition of world artists reflects the culture and spiritual world of different nations, which will further enhance the friendship among the people in the world.

Charge D'affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Kyrgyzstan Wu Changhong, said in his speech that the exhibition is one of the significant achievements of cultural exchanges among all countries and will bring people closer.

Kyrgyzstan Minister of Culture Jumagulov told Xinhua News Agency, “Organizing an exhibition of this scale in Kyrgyzstan will help enrich the cultural life of our people”, and he hoped that the relationship between China and Kyrgyzstan will be further strengthened.

Russian artist Artukova has participated in such a large-scale exhibition for the third time. “Artists from many countries around the world gather together. We become friends, and show the idea of peace through our works.” she said.

The painting exhibition showcased 72 paintings by 39 artists from 23 countries including China, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Iran, and Italy. Omurbekova conferred the International Artist for Peace Award to artists including Kyrgyz artist Shkayev, Chinese artist Fan Yang, Hushi Linlin, Wang Baocheng and Tang Chuanjie and Russian artist Smirnov.
