At 10 am on November 21, 2018, the award ceremony of Honorary Certificate of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine and the Kiev National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture was held at the Ukrainian Embassy in China. Ukrainian Ambassador to China Mr. Oleg Dyomin and Deputy Dean of Kiev National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture Mr. Ostap Kovalchuk attended the event and delivered speeches.
Ambassador Dyomin said, “I am very glad that everyone has come to the Ukrainian Embassy in China. Ukraine and China have a long history of friendship. Ukraine attaches great importance to cultural and art exchanges between the two countries. Today, we will confer a significant award in the field of art in Ukraine to some outstanding Chinese artists, to recognize their achievements in art and their outstanding contributions in the cultural exchanges between Ukraine and China.”

Subsequently, under the witness of Ambassador Dyomin, the Deputy Dean Ostap conferred the certificate of Honorary Academician of Kiev National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture to Mr. Gu Yang, Vice President of Yangzhou Chinese Painting Academy, and Mr. Chen Wei, Vice President of College of Fine Arts of Capital Normal University.

Deputy Dean Ostap stated in his speech that in recent years, they have maintained very pleasant and close cooperation with Beijing Peace Tour Cultural Exchange Center. In 2017, the “Peace and Friendship” Painting Exhibition of China and Ukraine Artists is successfully held by Peace Tour in Kiev, capital of Ukraine, which enabled more countries in the world, especially the countries along the Silk Road to have a better understanding of the real Ukraine and Ukrainian outstanding artists. These activities made a great contribution to the people-to-people exchanges between China and Ukraine. As the earliest and most authoritative art institutions and colleges in Ukraine, National Academy of Arts of Ukraine and the Kiev National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture confer these honors to the Peace Tour artists, and extend our appreciation for their efforts and contributions to the art exchange between China and Ukraine.
After the award ceremony, Ambassador Dyomin and Deputy Dean Ostap had relaxed and happy communication with the award-winning artists.
