In June 2006, Head of Peace Tour delegation Wang Zhong and Secretary General Shao Changchun led a delegation to Russia. The Chairman of the Russian Artists Association Mr. Sidorov received the delegation. The delegation visited the Surikov Art Academy, where they held a seminar, and visited the Repin Academy of Fine Arts, where the “Summit of the Destiny of Modernism in the Contemporary World” convened. Russian Artists Association conferred the certificate of “Honorary Professor” of Repin Academy of Fine Arts and the medal of “Life-time Artistic Achievement Award” to the Peace Tour artists. The Peace Tour Organizing Committee conferred the trophy of “Friend of World Chinese” to Mayor of Moscow Luzhkov. Deputy Mayor Schwarzova received the award on his behalf. The delegation held academic seminar at the State Tretyakov Gallery, and also donated materials to Russian Veteran Association, Child Sector of the Tretyakov Gallery, and children in Moscow.
