In October 2009, Head of Peace Tour delegation Zhang Deguang and Secretary General Shao Changchun, led a delegation to Russia. Peace Tour Delegation visited the Repin Academy of Fine Arts, and conducted academic exchange activities. Head of Delegation Zhang Deguang conferred the certificate and trophy of the “Art Ambassador for Peace” to 5 artists including Charkin from the Repin Academy of Fine Arts. Deputy Dean of the Academy Mikhailovsky conferred 5 artists of the Peace Tour delegation the title “Honorary Professor”. All members of the delegation participated in the Sino-Russian Art Summit at the Russian Academy of Arts and Sciences. The Academy conferred the Honorary Certificate of Russian Academy of Arts and Sciences to 7 Peace Tour artists, and Surikov Medal of the Art Academy to 5 artists. Russian Artist Association conferred Honorary Certificates to the artists of the Peace Tour delegation. Head of Peace Tour delegation Zhang Deguang conferred the trophy of the “Art Ambassador for Peace” to President of the Russian Artist Association. All members of the Delegation visited the Moscow State University, whose Dean Sadovnichiy conferred Head of Delegation Zhang Deguang the title of Honorary Professor. The Delegation also presented materials including computers and paints to the Repin Academy of Fine Arts.
