On June 2009, Head of Peace Tour delegation Zhang Deguang and Secretary General Shao Changchun, led a delegation to Kyrgyzstan. Kyrgyzstan First Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Ibraimov received the delegation. Kyrgyzstan Deputy Prime Minister Abdullayeva met with part of the delegation. Peace Tour Organizing Committee conferred the “Friend of World Chinese” to President of Kyrgyzstan Bakiyev. Deputy Prime Minister Abdullayeva received the award on his behalf. Members of the Peace Tour delegation visited the Sadkov Academy of Arts and Sciences. The Academy conferred the title of Academician to Peace Tour artists, and the delegation presented the Academy with computers and paints. The Peace Tour delegation conferred the trophy of “Art Ambassador for Peace” to Sadkov and Shagaev, and also toured the Kyrgyzstan National Museum. Kyrgyzstan Minister of Culture held a banquet for the delegation at the Beijing Hotel in Bishkek. The delegation presented violins to the Kyrgyzstan National Orchestra, and computers to Minister of Culture and Jusupbek Bakiyev Foundation. The delegation also visited Kyrgyzstan Ministry of Health, to which they donated vaccines and drugs, and the “Vayeno Antonovsk” Child Welfare Home, to which they donated paints and backpacks.
