In June 2010, Head of Peace Tour Delegation Zhang Deguang, Deputy Head Wang Zhen, and Secretary General Shao Changchun, led the “Silk Road - Peace Tour” Delegation, a large-scale delegation of cultural and art exchange, to visit Uzbekistan. Part of the members of the “Silk Road – Peace Tour” Delegation were cordially received by President Hu Jintao. The Delegation organized the large-scale “Silk Road - Peace Tour” art exhibition at the Uzbekistan Plastic Arts Gallery. Chinese State Councilor Dai Bingguo and some significant Ukrainian leaders attended the opening ceremony. Secretary General of the Peace Tour Organizing Committee conferred the “Silk Road Peace City Award” to Tashkent Municipal Government. The delegation visited the Uzbekistan National Museum, History Museum, and National Art Museum. Head Zhang Deguang led the delegation to conduct academic exchanges with the Uzbekistan Academy of Arts and Sciences. The Uzbekistan Academy of Arts and Sciences also conferred the titles of “Honorary Academician” and “Honorary Professor” to the artists of the Delegation. Vice Chairman of Uzbekistan Academy of Arts and Sciences Ravshan conferred the Uzbekistan Academy of Arts and Sciences Honorary Certificates to the Peace Tour artists, and Peace Tour conferred the “Art Master for Peace” trophy to the Academician of Uzbekistan Academy of Arts and Sciences. Secretary General Shao Changchun conferred the “Art Ambassador for Peace” trophy to the Director of the International Cooperation Department of the Uzbekistan Ministry of Culture and Director of the Department of Cultural and Art Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In June 2010, in order to support the Tashkent summit of Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states, the Peace Tour delegation visited Uzbekistan and successfully held cultural exchange activities such as painting exhibitions.
