On April 27, 2013, the Tenth Anniversary of Peace Tour & International Painting Exhibition of Artists for Peace, jointly sponsored by Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Culture and Beijing Municipal Government, co-organized by the Good-Neighborliness, Friendship and Cooperation Commission of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and China International Culture Association, and organized by Beijing Culture and Innovation Group and Beijing Peace Tour Cultural Exchange Center, was held at the Golden Hall of the Great Hall of the People. Relevant leaders including Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Vice Premier of the State Council Liu Yandong, Minister of Culture Cai Wu, former Minister of Foreign Affairs Li Zhaoxing, former Minister of International Department Central Committee of CPC Yu Hongjun, Vice Chairman of the Beijing Municipal Committee of the CPPCC Chen Ping, Assistant of Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Yucheng, former Vice Minister of Publicity Department of the CPCCC Gong Xinhan, as well as more than 70 world-famous artists, current and former dignitaries from Europe, Southeast Asia and Central Asia attended the ceremony. Since its establishment in 2003, Peace Tour has adhered to the principal of “protecting the common cultural heritage of human and promoting the peaceful development of the international community”. Peace Tour has visited more than 40 countries and regions, and successfully held more than 20 large-scale cultural exchange activities, cooperating with foreign governments and leaders as well as famous art institutions. The tenth anniversary celebration of Peace Tour is a review and summary of the ten-year journey of Peace Tour, through which we review the past and look forward to the future. In the future, we will unite more domestic and foreign artitsts to create a first-class international platform for art exchange.

Vice Premier Liu Yandong along with other guests and leaders met with domestic and foreign outstanding artists, and conferred awards to the artists for peace. Vice Premier Liu Yandong and Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Talieva toured the exhibition together. More than 200 paintings by over 100 artists from countries including China, Russia, Belarus, the United States, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Egypt, Bangladesh, Poland, Azerbaijan and Belgium were exhibited.
