Peace Tour held the opening ceremony of the “2013 SCO Bishkek Summit - International Exhibition of Artists for Peace” in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. Leaders including Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Damila Niazolieva, State Councilor of PRC Yang Jiechi, Kyrgyz Minister of Culture Raev, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of China Cheng Guoping, Chinese Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Qi Dayu, and fomer President of Kyrgyzstan Roza Otunbayeva attended the opening ceremony. The Opening Ceremony is presided over by Minister of Culture of the Kyrgyz Republic Raev, during which Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Damila Niazolieva and State Councilor of PRC Yang Jiechi delivered speeches. At the opening ceremony, State Councilor Yang Jiechi conferred the “Silk Road People-to-People Cooperation Award” to the former Minister of Health of Kyrgyzstan as well as famous MD Dr. Zhumabekov Sabyrbek Artisbekovich. Kamila A. Talieva, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic, conferred the Medal and Certificate of “Honor of the Kyrgyz Republic Government” to Mr. Shao Changchun, Director General of Peace Tour. A total of 58 people consists the delegations of International Painting Exhibition of Artists for Peace, among which the artists came from 14 different countries including China, America, Russia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Poland, Ukraine, India, Germany, Italy, France, Australia. More than 80 fine works of art exhibited were created by 42 artists from SCO member states, observer states and other countries in Europe and America.
