The logo design of the Silk Road People-to-People Cooperation Award, Silk Road Peace City Award, and Silk Road Outstanding Diplomat Award is now widely solicited in the whole society.
I. Content of Solicitation
Logo of Silk Road People-to-People Cooperation Award, Silk Road Peace City Award and Silk Road Outstanding Diplomat Award
II. Period of Solicitation
From March 8 to June 8, 2017
III. Scope of Solicitation
Solicitation in the whole country, regardless of organizations or individuals.
IV. Requirements
1. The Logo design could be submitted as a combination of three or individually.
2. The design should highlight the theme of Sino-Western cultural exchanges and cooperation, with rich connotation, distinctive theme, innovative ideas, concise and elegant design, bright colors, and high-level artistic infection.
3. The design should be easily recognized with visual impact, and be highly accepted by the public. The structure of the patterns should be convenient for wide-spread, application and medals production. The design should also be able to produce and apply in various carriers and environments, and should be clearly shown in different proportions and sizes.
V. Ways of Submission
1. Works should be submitted through e-mail, with the topic “Solicitation for Logo of the Silk Road”

2. The design should be submitted with descriptions of creation within 500 words, and also address, contact, and other information of the designer.
3. The design should be submitted to the aforementioned e-mail before June 8, 2017
VI. Selection Process
After the solicitation, a selection committee of experts in design from art schools nationwide, sociologists and diplomatic experts will evaluate on the designs, and vote three of the designs. The result will be announced on Peace Tour website and Weibo.
VII. Rewards
1. The rewards will be set respectively for Silk Road People-to-People Cooperation Award, Silk Road Peace City Award, and Silk Road Outstanding Diplomat Award.
First Prize: One designer, with a bonus of 5000 CNY.
Second Prize: One designer, with a bonus of 3000 CNY.
Third Prize: Three designers respectively for the three awards, with a bonus of 1000 CNY.
Finalists: 20 designers respectively for the three awards, with honorary certificates.
3. The award-winners should pay the personal income tax by themselves.
VIII. Special Declaration
1. All content of the design must be original, and has not been published in any forms before. All designs must not conflict with the legal rights previously obtained by others and must not infringe the intellectual property rights of a third party. The legal liability of all infringements such as plagiarism and borrowing of the work shall be borne by the applicants themselves.
2. Ownership of the property rights of the works: After getting paid by the organizers, the intellectual property rights of the award-winning works will be owned by Beijing Peace Tour Cultural Exchange Center, who has the rights to modify, use, license, publish and display the design.
3. Providing one design be the same with another, the former one will be prevailed. (The order is determined according to the time that the e-mail is sent.)
The event organizer reserves the right to make final interpretation of this event, and the organizer will not give any explanation to the works that are not selected.

The Silk Road People-to-People Cooperation Award is set to promote the peace spirit of the Silk Road, boost the people-to-people exchanges among countries along the Silk Road and enhance the mutual understanding and traditional friendship of these countries.
The recipients of the award are mainly architects, medical scientists, and artists who have made major inventions or important achievements, with extraordinary achievements in their professional fields, outstanding contributions to human society, and great regional and global influence.
Silk Road Peace City Award
The Silk Road Peace City Award aims to promote the peace spirit of the Silk Road and boost peaceful development and cooperation among countries and regions. The selection committee will select the safest and most integrated peaceful city comprehensively based on the influence of the economic, cultural and regional security and stability of the city, the integration of multi-cultures and different religions as well as how friendly the city is to immigrants.
Silk Road Outstanding Diplomat Award
The Silk Road Outstanding Diplomat Award aims to promote the peace spirit of the Silk Road. The nominees should be official diplomats of all countries in the world. The award honors diplomats who have significant contributions to the mutual respect and reciprocity between countries and countries as well as countries and regional organizations, the resolutions of conflicts and peaceful cooperation, etc.
