Man Weiqi, born in Tianjin in 1954, graduated from the Chinese Painting Department of the School of military culture, National Defense University of the people's Liberation Army of China. Currently he serves as the Executive Vice President of the Chinese Painting Academy of the Chinese National Academy of Arts, a Master Supervisor, and a national first-class artist.
He has participated in the eighth to eleventh national art exhibitions, and has won awards in two exhibitions. He has created large-scale works for important national venues such as Zhongnanhai Leaders' Meeting Hall, Zhongnanhai Can Chanh Palace， and the Great Hall of the People.
Several of his works has been collected by institutions including National Art Museum of China and National Museum of China.
